The Forestry for People Social Benefits Case Study project was conducted for the Forestry Commission . It looked in depth at two Case Study areas in Scotland. One was rural (the Loch Ness area in the Highlands) and the other very urban (Drumchapel and Castlemilk in Glasgow). It's intent was to capture the uses and social benefits which people in local communities derive from their ownership of local Community Woodlands. This was part of a wider Forestry Commission study of Social Benefits of Forestry for People and was incorporated into a major report issued by them. (click here for the Final F4P Report)
