Integrate specialises in offering training in qualitative research methods to Communities and to university students. I have taught on an ESRC MSc in Research Methods at the University of Aberdeen, and currently teach an online Masters level module at the University of Highlands and Islands which focuses upon qualitative research methods. As a founding member of the Scottish Executive’s Rural Voices: Action Research Competition (RV:ARC) I delivered training in research methods to small communities groups who needed to acquire relevant research and presentation skills in order to further their chosen community development projects. In addition I have created online MSc courses in Social Enterprise and Local Economic Development which were targeted as CPD at practitioners and community members. eLearningI have designed and deliver two online Masters Level modules in eLearning for the University of Highlands and Islands. These are designed to teach existing Further and Higher Education staff to use VLE online learning tools to move from Face to Face teaching to online learning. Through this i am developing models of how to build and use Learning Communities to increase student interaction and learning and models of effective online facilitation. |
